India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy rainfall over Arunachal Pradesh, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Maharashtra, Gujarat and south interior Karnataka in the next four to five days. According to IMD light to moderate rainfall is expected over Lakshadweep, Karnataka, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Telangana during this week.

The weather agency also predicted widespread light to moderate rainfall over Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Assam, Meghalaya for the next two days. It also said that conditions are favorable for further withdrawal of Southwest Monsoon from remaining parts of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Bihar, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and some parts of Odisha, West Bengal and Sikkim during the next two days.
