India Meteorological Department, IMD has forecast fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall accompanied with thunderstorm and lightning over the West, Central, East and South Peninsular India region during next 5 days. It has forecast isolated extremely heavy rainfall over Konkan and Goa, Ghat areas of Madhya Maharashtra, Vidarbha, south Chhattisgarh for today and in Gujarat till 24th July. In Northwest India, isolated extremely heavy rainfall is expected over Uttarakhand for next two days. Besides, isolated very heavy rainfall is also likely over East Rajasthan on Tuesday and Wednesday and in Himachal Pradesh on Monday and Tuesday and in West Uttar Pradesh on Monday.  IMD has also forecast, fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall with isolated heavy rainfall accompanied with thunderstorm over Northeast India during next five days. It added that isolated very heavy rainfall is also likely over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya tomorrow.
