India Meteorological Department, IMD has forecast heatwave conditions over Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal, Vidarbha, and north Telangana till Monday. IMD said that heat wave to severe heat wave conditions is also expected to continue over interior Odisha till Tuesday.

It also forecast heat wave conditions over North Interior Karnataka from 18th to 20th of this month. It has also predicted gradual rise in maximum temperatures by about 2 to 4 degree Celsius over Northwest India during next four to five days.

IMD further added that light to moderate rainfall accompanied with thunderstormis likely over Arunachal Pradesh during next seven days and over Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura for tomorrow.
