India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heat wave conditions to continue with reduced intensity over Northwest, Central and East India during next 3 days. The IMD said that Heat wave conditions will continue over parts of Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh till Monday. It will also be present over Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Odisha till the 4th of June. The weather agency expects no significant change in maximum temperatures over rest of the country.
Meanwhile, the IMD has predicted light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorm, lightning and gusty winds over West Bengal and North-East India during the next 7 days. In South India, these conditions will be also present over Kerala, Lakshadweep, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and Karnataka during the next 7 days. While in North India, similar conditions will be prevalent over Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand during next 5 days.
