The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast extremely heavy rainfall over parts of North Tamil Nadu and Puducherry till tomorrow. The IMD said that heavy to very heavy rainfall with extremely heavy falls at isolated places will likely be over South Andhra Pradesh, Yanam and Rayalaseema today. Meanwhile, heavy rainfall conditions will prevail over Kerala, Mahe and South Interior Karnataka today, as well as over Andaman and Nicobar Islands tomorrow. The weather agency has also predicted dense fog conditions to continue during late night and early morning hours in isolated pockets of Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh today and tomorrow. In Delhi-NCR, smog and shallow to moderate fog is likely to be expected in the morning and night hours today along with clear sky during the day.

Minimum temperatures will gradually rise by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius over west and central India, except Madhya Pradesh, during the next 4-5 days.
