The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast dense to very dense fog conditions to continue over the Indo-Gangetic plains during the next 3 to 4 days. The IMD said that these conditions will prevail during the night and early morning hours in Bihar and Odisha today along with Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh for the next 2 to 3 days. Dense Fog will likely be present over Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal and Sikkim today.
Meanwhile, the weather agency has also predicted rainfall with thunderstorms and hailstorm over Uttarakhand and northwest Uttar Pradesh today. Minimum temperatures are expected to fall by 3 to 5 degrees Celsius over the Western Himalayan Region during the next 3 days.
