The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast cold wave conditions in parts of Himachal Pradesh, Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh tomorrow. Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, and Odisha can experience dense fog in the morning and night hours during the next 2-3 days. According to the IMD, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, and north Rajasthan is likely to witness thunderstorms and lightning tomorrow.
The met department further added that there will be a gradual fall in minimum temperatures by about 2 degrees Celsius over Northwest India during the next 2 days. Central India and Maharashtra can witness a gradual rise in minimum temperatures of 2 to 4 degrees Celsius during the next 5 days. IMD said there will be no significant change in minimum temperatures over the Western Himalayas in the coming 2 days.
The weather office said Delhi-NCR is likely to experience smog and shallow fog during the morning and night hours over the next two days.
