As part of the commemoration of World Puppetry Day, Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre (SVCC), under the High Commission of India, organised a special performance by the Sri Anura Puppetry Society from Ambalangoda. Led by award-winning puppeteer Nalin Gamvari, the event showcased common themes, folk stories and more at the SVCC Auditorium.
Puppetry has long been a cultural bridge between India and Sri Lanka, with both nations sharing storytelling traditions rooted in mythology and folklore.
