IDF Kills Senior Hezbollah Commander Nabil Qaouk in Beirut Airstrike

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have confirmed a successful strike against Nabil Qaouk, a high-ranking Hezbollah official. Qaouk, Commander of Hezbollah’s Preventative Security Unit and Executive Council member, was killed in what the IDF described as a precise operation. Qaouk, a veteran member who joined Hezbollah in the 1980s, held several key positions within the organization, including Deputy Commander of the southern region. The IDF statement emphasized his direct involvement in operations against Israel.

In a separate development,  the body of Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah has been recovered from the strike site. Meanwhile, IDF forces operating in Gaza have uncovered and dismantled a kilometer-long underground tunnel network. The tunnels, found near civilian areas in central Gaza, with rooms and equipment suggest long-term use by Hamas operatives. The IDF stateed that these actions are part of ongoing efforts to recover hostages and dismantle Hamas infrastructure in the region. The Israeli military has pledged to continue targeting Hezbollah leadership and those deemed threats to Israel’s security.
