ICC Men’s T20 World Cup: West Indies beat Uganda by massive 134-run victory

In the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Cricket, West Indies beat Uganda by 134 runs in a Group C match today at Providence Stadium, Guyana. Chasing a target of 174 runs set by West Indies, the Ugandan batsman bundled out at paltry 39 runs in 12 overs. West Indies bowler Akeal Hosein with career-best figures of 5 for 11, helped the joint-lowest team total in the men’s T20 World Cup. In 2014, the Netherlands were dismissed on 39 by Sri Lanka. For West Indies, Johnson Charles was top scorer with 44 runs in 42 balls.

 

In the second match, team India will face arch-rivals Pakistan in their second Group A match at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York. The match is scheduled to start at 8:00 PM IST. In the third match, Oman will take on Scotland in Group ‘B’ match at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, North Sound, Antigua. The match is scheduled to start at 10:30 PM IST.
