ICC Men's Cricket World Cup: Bangladesh defeats Afghanistan by six wickets at Dharamshala

In the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup, Bangladesh defeated Afghanistan by six wickets at Dharamshala today.
 
Chasing the target of 157 runs, Bangladesh scored 158 for 4 in just 34.4 overs with the help of half-centuries from Mehidy Hasan Miraj and Najmul Hossain Shanto.
 
Earlier, sent to bat, Afghanistan were all out for 156 in just 37.2 overs. Gurbaz topscored with 47 runs. For Bangladesh, Shakib And Mehidy took three wickets each. Mehidy was adjudged Player of the Match.
 
The second match between South Africa and Sri Lanka is underway at Arun Jaitley Stadium, New Delhi.
 
Chasing a massive target of 429 runs, Sri Lanka were 165 for 5 in 23.2 overs when reports last came in.
 
Sent to bat, South Africa scored a mammoth 428 runs in the stipulated 50 overs for five wickets with centuries from De Cock, van der Dussen and Markram. Markram smashed the fastest World Cup century off just 49 balls.
 
With the help of De Kock (100 off 84 balls), Dussen (108 off 110 balls), and Markram (106 off 54 balls), South Africa surpassed Australia's previous record of 417 against Afghanistan in 2015 World Cup.
