Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Singh Thakur has said that under the Modi government, all those steps have been taken to increase the empowerment of women, which were unimaginable a decade ago. He added that the Government is doing a lot to promote women in business and constantly striving to do better. Mr. Thakur was addressing the 40th Annual session of the FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO) in New Delhi Yesterday.
In his address, Mr. Thakur said that the Government has provided Mudra loans to 31 crore women in the country, and one crore women’s income has crossed one lakh those known as lakhpati didi now.
Appreciating the efforts of the FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO), the Minister said that over the past four decades, FLO has been at the forefront of empowering women and advocating for gender equality in India. He added that the organisation’s commitment to women’s development and its dedication to creating a more inclusive society is truly commendable.
