In Bihar, the Surya Kiran team of the Indian Air Force today enthralled people at Patna by mesmerising aerobatic performances and a splendid Airshow. The Surya Kiran daredevils first exhibited a paragliding dive from an IAF chopper and held the national flag in the sky. The free-fall tactics drew applause from the audience.
The two-day programme, which comprises a splendid show and manoeuvre of IAF Surya Kiran aircraft, began in Patna today.
Nine Hawk fighter jets also performed manoeuvres, dives and aerobatic skills. Several people, including school children from more than forty schools, also witnessed the historic occasion. The programme is being organised on the occasion of Valour Day Vijayotsav of Babu Kunwar Singh and marks the reverence to the great freedom fighter of the 1857 revolution in Bhojpur in Bihar. The main function will be organised tomorrow, and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will inaugurate it.
