Hockey Men’s FIH Pro League: India beat Ireland 3-1 at Kalinga Hockey Stadium in Bhubaneswar

In the Hockey FIH Pro League, the Indian Men’s team secured a 3-1 victory against Ireland at the Kalinga Hockey Stadium in Bhubaneswar last night. Ireland started strong, with Jeremy Duncan scoring in the 8th minute.

 

However, India bounced back with Mandeep Singh’s equalizer. Jarmanpreet Singh and Sukhjeet Singh sealed the win for the hosts. Both the teams will again face each other today at the same venue. The match is scheduled to begin at 07:30 PM. Indian Men’s team is currently placed 5th in the standings with nine points from five games.

 

Earlier, in the women’s section of the tournament, India lost 0-4 to Germany. Amelie Wortmann, Sophia Schwabe, and Johanne Hachenberg scored for Germany, who dominated with 10 penalty corners. Both the teams will again face each other today at the same venue. The match will begin at 05:15 PM. Indian Women’s team sits seventh in the standings with four points from five games.
