Union Home Minister Amit Shah released 24 reprinted books for 2024-25 by the Sastu Sahitya Mudranalaya Trust at Ahmedabad in Gujarat today. Speaking at the event, Mr. Shah praised renowned scholars like Govardhanram Tripathi, Hemchandracharya, Narmad, Narsinh Mehta, and Jhaverchand Meghani for enriching the Gujarati language. He also commended the Gujarat government’s efforts to promote reading.
Earlier, the Union Home Minister released a commemorative coin to mark the semi-centenary birth anniversary of Jainacharya Shrimad Buddhisagar Surishwarji Maharaj. Later in the day, Mr. Shah will attend the centenary celebration, marking 100 years of the establishment of ADC Bank and the oath-taking ceremony of newly registered lawyers organized by the Bar Council of Gujarat. Additionally, he will participate in the groundbreaking ceremony and launch the digital service portal of the Para-Hyper Performance Centre. Later, he will inaugurate a newly constructed building and unveil the statue of poet Kokilvidyapati.
