The month-long celebration of Hindi Diwas commenced at the Prasar Bharati Secretariat in New Delhi today. During the inaugural ceremony, Prasar Bharati Chief Executive Officer Gaurav Dwivedi encouraged the use of simplified Hindi for better understanding and wider outreach. He also underlined the impact of the Hindi film industry in this regard when it came to connecting people through the language.
In an audio message, Home Minister Amit Shah also highlighted the Government's efforts to establish Indian languages on a global platform. In a message, Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Singh Thakur also encouraged people to write in Hindi on various social media platforms while expressing their thoughts. The Prasar Bharati will organize various competitions during this month-long programme.
