In the Tikkar area of Rohru sub-division in Shimla district, Himachal Pradesh a devastating fire occurred around midnight on Saturday, engulfing 14 houses and leaving 21 families homeless. The incident took place in a house in the Daroti village of Tikkar. All the houses were made of wood and the fire rapidly spread. As a result, 14 houses were engulfed in flames. 21 families were residing in them.
 
As soon as the fire broke out, people evacuated them to save their lives. According to the police, no casualties occurred in this incident, but substantial property damage was reported.
 
A total of 74 people from 21 families have been affected by this incident.
