Counting of votes for by-elections in three assembly constituencies of Himachal Pradesh, Dehra, Hamirpur and Nalagarh, is underway. According to the trends so far, Congress candidates are leading in Dehra and Nalagarh assembly constituencies, while BJP candidate is leading in Hamirpur assembly constituency.
Congress candidate from Dehra assembly constituency and wife of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, Kamlesh Thakur, is leading by 7 thousand 8 hundred 60 votes over BJP’s Hoshiyar Singh. Similarly, Congress’ Hardeep Singh Bawa from Nalagarh assembly constituency is leading by 4 thousand 137 votes over his nearest rival BJP candidate KL Thakur.
BJP candidate Ashish Sharma from Hamirpur assembly constituency is leading by 1 thousand 545 votes. Voting for these three assembly constituencies were held on 10th of July .
