The High Commission of India to Sri Lanka organised an Iftar at Galle Face Hotel in Colombo. Appreciating the Indian gesture towards strengthening people to people contact and help Sri Lanka, Sri Lanka’s Foreign Minister M.U.M. Ali Sabry recalled the assistance and support extended by India to the island nation. He thanked Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Ministers Dr. Jaishankar and Nirmala Sitharaman for the timely assistance during the economic crisis in 2022.

High Commissioner of India Santosh Jha said that both India and Sri Lanka are committed towards deepening the long-term economic partnership as agreed in the vision document signed in July last year.
