In Telangana, normal life has been hit hard due to incessant rains in several districts of the state. Several low-lying areas were marooned while road traffic was suspended at several places due to overflowing tanks and streams. 

Heavy inflows are reaching reservoirs across River Godavari and River Krishna following heavy rains in the catchment areas even as the Met department issued a Red alert of heavy to very heavy rains for several districts in the state for the next two days.

In Nizamabad, Siddipet, and Warangal, normal life has been badly hit due to heavy downpour for the past two days. Several streams and lakes are overflowing leading a suspension of vehicular traffic between Warangal and Khammam on a national highway. About 150 families in the low-lying areas in Warangal have been evacuated to safer locations. In Adilabad district, the Penganga and Pranahitha rivers are flowing at dangerous levels. The incessant rains have forced a halt to coal production in Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) mines in Srirampur, Mandamarri, and Bellampalli.

Meanwhile, reservoirs and projects across River Godavari, River Krishna, and others are receiving heavy inflows. Water in the Sriram Sagar project in Nizamabad district across River Godavari increased to 64 TMCs whereas its full capacity is 90 TMCs. Meanwhile, the state government has declared holidays to all schools in the state in view of incessant rains and the Red alert of heavy to very heavy rains issued to many districts. Examinations at many institutions scheduled for these days have also been postponed.
