The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has said, heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely to continue over Bihar, Jharkhand, Sub Himalaya West Bengal and Sikkim, north Odisha, north Chhattisgarh during the next two to three days.
In its latest bulletin, the weather agency said that a low-pressure area lies over southwest Jharkhand and adjoining north Chhattisgarh.
Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada region will also witness light to moderate rainfall including thunderstorms and lightning today and tomorrow.
The isolated heavy rainfall is likely over Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, and Arunachal Pradesh in the next two days.
In the southern parts of the country, the IMD has forecast moderate rainfall with isolated heavy rainfall over ghat areas of Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
IMD also said that conditions continue to remain favorable for further withdrawal of Southwest Monsoon from remaining parts of the country during the next 2 days.
