In Manipur, heavy rainfall has disrupted normal life and made traffic movement difficult. The rainfall started yesterday with Tamenglong district recording more than 140 mm rainfall. The IMD forecast said that the State will witness heavy rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning in some parts of the State till Friday. The heavy rainfall created a massive mudslide at Dimthanlong village of Tamenglong district claiming the lives of two persons while one critically injured, who is getting treatment at a hospital in Imphal. Another nine-year-old boy sustained a minor injury. The Imphal Jiribam road has been damaged due to landslides in the Tamenglong areas.
