In Telangana, heavy rain recorded in the flood-hit Khammam and Mahabubabad districts since yesterday. Mahabubabad recorded over 182 mms of rainfall till 6 am this morning while Thallada in Khammam recorded 122 mms of rainfall.  People especially in low-lying areas in these districts have been asked to remain alert as there is a possibility of flooding again to Munneru and other streams. Meanwhile, the Met officials have issued Orange alert to four districts including Khammam and Mahabubabad districts and yellow alert of moderate rains likely in about ten districts including Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem districts among others for next two days. the officials also informed that Thunderstorm accompanied by lightning and gusty winds ranging from 30-40 kmph are likely to occur at isolated places in all districts of the state during the next five days.
