India Meteorological Department has forecast fairly widespread to widespread light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning over West, Central, East and South Peninsular India during next five days. Isolated extremely heavy rainfall is very likely over Gujarat from today till 25th July. Very heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places over Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Madhya Pradesh in the next five days. Chhattisgarh and Coastal Karnataka are likely to experience heavy rainfall at isolated places today. Heavy rainfall is also likely over Interior Karnataka, Kerala and Mahe, Marathwada, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, and Telangana today.

Met department has also predicted scattered to fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall accompanied with thunderstorms and lightning over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi, and Uttar Pradesh during the next five days. Isolated extremely heavy rainfall is very likely over Uttarakhand todya and tomorrow.

Fairly widespread to widespread light to moderate rainfall with isolated heavy rainfall accompanied with thunderstorm and lightning is also likely over Northeast India during next five days.

IMD has issued a red alert for heavy to very heavy rain with extremely heavy rain in Uttarakhand at isolated places for today and tomorrow.
