The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy rainfall and thunderstorms will continue over Northeast India till the 26th of March. The IMD said that widespread rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning will fall over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sikkim and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal during the next five days.
The weather office has predicted isolated thunderstorms and lightning will prevail over Punjab and Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh with light rainfall and snowfall tomorrow. It said, Bihar is also expected to witness thunderstorms and lightning with light to moderate rainfall.
Meanwhile, South India will continue to face hot weather conditions. The IMD said that hot and humid weather will prevail over parts of Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Mahe during the next five days, and Tamil Nadu and Puducherry during the next 2 days.
