Heatwave to continue for next five days in J&K: MeT Dept

In Jammu and Kashmir, the weatherman has urged people, especially vulnerable sections, to avoid heat exposure and drink a lot of fluid as a heatwave is predicted to continue for the next five days in the Union Territory. Akashvani Correspondent reports that met department said, the hot and dry weather is also likely over hilly districts during these five days. Generally dry weather is likely till 28th May. There is also a possibility of thundershower activity at isolated places.

 

 Night temperatures also witnessing increase in temperatures. Srinagar recorded a low of 15.4 degrees Celcius against 15.0 degrees Celcius the previous night, which 3.7 degrees Celcius above normal for the summer capital. Jammu recorded a low of 27.6 degrees Celcius against 29.1 degrees Celcius on the previous night and it was above normal by 3.2 degrees Celcius for the winter capital.
