Heat wave conditions are likely to continue over East India till Sunday and over south Peninsular India till Monday. Indian Meteorological Department has forecast heat wave to severe heat wave conditions in isolated pockets over Gangetic West Bengal on Sunday. Heat wave conditions are also likely in isolated pockets over Bihar, Odisha and coastal Andhra Pradesh today. Tamil Nadu, Rayalaseema, Telangana, and Vidarbha will experience heat wave conditions today and tomorrow and interior Karnataka till 7th of May.
Met department has also forecast heavy rainfall spell accompanied with thunderstorms and gusty over Northeast India till 7th May. Fairly widespread to widespread light to moderate rainfall accompanied with isolated thunderstorm, lightning and gusty winds are very likely over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura during next seven days.
Wet spell accompanied with thunderstorms and gusty winds are also very likely over East and south Peninsular India till 9th May.
