Thirty health policymakers and experts from 15 Global South countries are on a four day visit to India from Monday (19th August 2024). Ministry of External Affairs is organising the visit in association with Health Ministry and Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC). Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda inaugurated the programme in New Delhi today. During the visit, policy makers and experts will interact with their Indian counterparts and discussed collaboration with IPC including on recognition of Indian Pharmacopoeia, best practices, capacity building and quality control in the field of health. The experts will also visit Agra and Hyderabad to see Janaushidhi Kendras and drugs and vaccine manufacturing units and research laboratories.
