The obituary resolution was passed to pay rich tributes to Sh. Faqir Chand Aggarwal, former Deputy Speaker of Haryana Legislative Assembly during the special session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha.

Leader of the House and Chief Minister Nayab Singh paid tributes and read out the obituary resolution.

Vidhan Sabha Speaker Gian Chand Gupta also read the obituary resolutions and paid tributes to the departed soul. Congress MLA, Dr. Raghuvir Singh Kadian also read the obituary resolutions on behalf of their party. The House conveyed its heartfelt condolences to the members of the bereaved family and observed a two-minute silence.

Sh. Faqir Chand Aggarwal, former Deputy Speaker of Haryana Legislative Assembly died on March 6, 2024. He was elected to the Haryana Legislative Assembly in 1996, He remained the Deputy Speaker of the Haryana Legislative Assembly from May 22, 1996, to December 14, 1999. In his death, the State has lost an able legislator and administrator.
