Haryana State Transport Department has decided to introduce the National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) service for the convenience of the people. Haryana Transport Minister, Mool Chand Sharma informed this after holding a meeting with key officials of the Transport Department to discuss the implementation of the NCMC service.
The Minister said that National Common Mobility Card will have complete data of individuals availing subsidized transport services such as students, Persons with 100 percent disability with an aide, accredited correspondents, members of legislative assemblies, parliamentarians, freedom fighters, police, and prison employees. He said, All they need to do is present their NCMC card for instant access to the transport services they are entitled to. He said that to further enhance flexibility, individuals eligible for up to a 50 percent discount on fares can choose to pay 50 percent of the fare using either cash or their National Common Mobility Card. In addition, passengers can easily recharge their NCMC cards ensuring that they always have access to the transportation services they rely on.
