At the same time, many aware farmers are taking advantage of the government’s incentives along with increasing the fertility of the land by disposing of the stubble in their fields and have also become an inspiration for other farmers.
Rajiv Goyal, a progressive farmer of Sirsama village in Kurukshetra, is also disposing of the stubble in the field itself.
Deputy Commissioner of Kurukshetra Rajesh Jogpal told Akashvani News that strict action is being taken regarding the incidents of arson in Kurukshetra district and farmers are also being motivated not to burn stubble. He said that so far a fine of 1 lakh 45 thousand 500 rupees has been imposed on 58 farmers in the district and red entries have been made in their farm records. He said that any farmer can also give information about stubble arson on Police Helpline No. 112.
