Senior BJP leader and Prime Minister Narendra Modi today hit out at the Congress over its caste politics. Addressing a public rally at Palwal in Haryana, the Prime Minister also accused Congress of making false promises. He said that the Congress follows the policy of neither doing work nor letting others do it, while the BJP works on the policy of Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas. Mr Modi said that the Congress ruled the country for 70 years but kept the people deprived of basic amenities like roads, electricity, water, toilets, and concrete houses. He said that the Congress created obstacles in the implementation of the Constitution of the country in Jammu and Kashmir, and tried to prevent the removal of Article 370 and implementation of women’s reservation in Parliament and Legislative Assemblies. Mr Modi said that the BJP government solved the problems of the country with full seriousness.
Congress star campaigner Rahul Gandhi today took out the Haryana Vijay Sankalp Yatra from Bahadurgarh to Kallupar Chowki and from Huda Ground in Sonepat to Kilohaddi in Gohana. Addressing a public rally in Sonepat Mr. Gandhi alleged that the BJP government is helping big capitalists. Taking a dig at regional parties, he said that the main contest is between the Congress and BJP and this is a fight to save the Constitution. He also raised the issue of unemployment and Agniveer Yojana and said that the Agniveer Yojana has taken away the pension, canteen facilities and martyr status of the soldiers. He said that due to a lack of employment, the youth of Haryana are going abroad risking their lives.
Meanwhile, the Haryana Government today cleared the 20-day parole application of Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh. The Election Commission had yesterday allowed the government to consider the Dera chief’s parole application.
The parole application, cleared by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has been forwarded to the Divisional Commissioner, Rohtak, for further necessary action. He will be released after getting the mandatory clearance from the local administration in Uttar Pradesh’s Bagpath, where he will stay during the parole period.
