A group of farmers from Punjab started marching towards Delhi from the Shambhu border by foot today as part of ‘Dilli Chalo’ agitation over several pending demands. However, they were stopped there by the Haryana police.

In view of the farmers’ protest, Haryana Home Secretary Sumita Mishra has ordered to shut down the internet in 11 villages of Ambala adjoining the Punjab-Haryana border. The Shambhu border has been sealed and many companies of state police along with CAPF have been deployed.
