In Haryana, Kaithal court of Additional Session and District Judge, Dr Gagndeep Kaur, today awarded death sentence in the case of rape and murder of a seven-year-old girl. The girl was raped and then murdered by strangulation and later her body was burnt with petrol. Apart from the death sentence, a fine of 13000 rupees was also imposed under different sections of the IPC. The court also ordered to give compensation of 30 lakh rupees to the parents of the victim. The compensation will be given by the state government. The parents of the victim girl had filed a complaint at the police station in Kalayat on October 8 last year.
