Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal on Friday said that the State has set ambitious targets, aiming to contribute approximately 14 lakh crore rupees to the national GDP by 2024-25. He added that the state's investor-friendly policies and conducive business environment are driving this impressive growth. The Chief Minister was addressing after laying the foundation stone of Flipkart's regional distribution centre in Manesar and virtually launching the Grocery Supply Center in Sonipat. Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala was also present on this occasion.
CM underscored the importance of logistics and last-mile delivery in realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of propelling India into a 5 trillion-dollar economy by 2024. He said that the National Logistics Policy was hailed as a pivotal instrument in achieving this national goal. Mr. Manohar Lal expressed satisfaction over the state's favorable environment for investors and industries. He highlighted Haryana's achievement of setting and reaching ambitious goals, positioning the state as an emerging manufacturing hub. CM said that the investment by Flipkart is a testament to the conducive atmosphere created for businesses in Haryana. He said that these strategic moves are expected to intensify investor interest in Haryana while creating substantial employment opportunities for the youth.
CM said that the Flipkart is making substantial investments in Haryana, including the establishment of a regional distribution centre in Manesar, covering 140 acres and involving an investment of 1389 crore rupees. He said, this distribution centre is poised to become Asia's largest distribution centre , creating direct and indirect employment opportunities for approximately 10,000 individuals. He said, moreover, Flipkart's grocery supply centre in Sonipat is set to generate around 2,000 direct and indirect job opportunities.
