The Haryana Government will recruit Van Mitras soon under the Van Mitra Yojana, who will be paid an honorarium for taking care of the plants. Chief Minister Naib Singh announced this after chairing a review meeting of the Forest and Wildlife Department in Chandigarh today. The Chief Minister said that officers have been instructed to get regular mapping done by the Forest Department through drones of the plants already planted in the forest area and the plants to be planted every year under the plantation campaign.
