The Enforcement Directorate, ED arrested Congress MLA from Sonipat, Surendra Pawar in the illegal mining and money laundering case in Yamunanagar area and produced him in the Ambala District and Sessions Court on Saturday.
The court sent him on 9-days police remand although the Enforcement Directorate had sought a 14-day remand. It is noteworthy that on January 4, the ED team had raided the premises of Surendra Pawar and his associates in Sonipat. During the raid, the ED had seized many important documents from his house and office. The Enforcement Directorate team had also raided Yamunanagar, Sonipat and Karnal in illegal mining case.
