Haryana Completes Home Voting Process for Voters Above 85 and Divyang Voters in Assembly Elections

In Haryana, the process of voting from home for voters above 85 years of age and Divyang voters in the state assembly elections was completed yesterday. The Chief Electoral Officer of the state, Pankaj Aggarwal, said that after approval by the Returning Officers, 9,596 voters above 85 years of age and 2,600 Divyangjan voters were given the facility to vote from home.

 

Regarding the preparations for voting on 5th October, he said that a total of 20 thousand 632 polling stations have been set up across the state. Out of these, 144 are model polling stations. And there are 115 polling stations which will be operated completely by women employees. Apart from this, 114 polling stations will be operated by young employees and 87 polling stations by Divyang employees. He said that webcasting on all the centers will be done on the day of voting.
