The Haryana Police has recovered 596 kilograms of Marijuana valued at Rs 89.43 lakh from a Canter seized near village Gulalata on Sikrawa Road in Nuh district.
Haryana DGP Shatrujit Kapur on Thursday said that Punhana’s Crime Investigation Branch, led by Inspector Sandeep, cracked the drug smuggling case on March 20.
Acting on a tip, Tata Canter was searched which was impounded at the police station. This vehicle was earlier seized near Gulalta village.
He said that the Marijuana packed in 20 plastic bags was kept in a box behind the driver’s cabin. The hidden compartment’s window accessed the roof, making it invisible during regular checks. The Punhana Police have registered a case under the NDPS Act against the Canter’s owner and others and arrests are expected soon.
