Har Ghar Tiranga campaign kick-off

The Har Ghar Tiranga campaign aimed at bolstering a sense of patriotism within citizens kicked off yesterday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged the people to take part in the movement which will continue till 15th August. Appealing to people through social media platform, Mr Modi asked them to upload their photos with the Tiranga at harghartiranga.com. The Prime Minister said, the Tiranga symbolises the spirit of freedom and national unity. He said, every Indian has an emotional connect with the Tricolour and it inspires to work harder to further national progress. More than three crore people have already uploaded selfies with tiranga so far.
The Prime Minister also urged the people to change the DP of their social media accounts, in the spirit of Har Ghar Tiranga movement. He asked people to extend support to this unique effort which will deepen the bond between the nation and the people.

The Union Culture Ministry said, the government is celebrating Har Ghar Tiranga under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. The aim is to commemorate the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, with the essence of collaborative participation and increased Jan Bhagidari. In the latest episode of Mann Ki Baat on Akashwani, Prime Minister Modi has urged people to hoist tricolour at home to mark Independence Day.  Mr Modi had called for continuing the Har Ghar Tiranga tradition which saw tremendous success and jan bhagidari last year.
