Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma attended the Griha Pravesh ceremony organized by the Panchayat and Rural Development department for over three lakh beneficiaries under Prime Minister Awas Yojana (Grameen) in Guwahati. Addressing the event, the Chief Minister said that the Assam government has been taking all measures to ensure housing for all by 2024. Mr. Sarma said that by February next year, the construction of another six lakh houses would be completed. He said that the Assam government has been implementing the provisions of PMAY(Grameen) in letter and spirit.
