Gujarat: Third G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors meeting begins in Gandhinagar

The third G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors (FMCBGs) meeting began in Gandhinagar today.
 
During the day-long deliberations, the representatives discussed issues pertaining to the global economic outlook, economic risks, and policy responses to support recovery. The members also deliberated on various aspects of sustainable finance and infrastructure including the timely & adequate resources for climate finance, and policy measures for green and low-carbon technology.
 
The Delegates also discussed on finalizing outcomes for Financing Cities of Tomorrow under India’s G 20 Presidency in Gandhinagar. Earlier, while addressing the inaugural session of the meeting, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaraman had called for collaborative efforts to ensure sustainable, balanced, and inclusive global economic growth.
 
Nearly 500 delegates including Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors of the G20 member countries, invited countries, and heads of International Organisations are attending the meeting.
