Torrential rains continued to lash Gujarat today. Heavy rains in Junagadh, Gir Somnath, Porbandar, Valsad, and Surat districts disrupted normal life and led to water logging in low-lying areas. Mangrol town in Junagadh district received the highest 12 inches of rainfall during the day. Many houses and fields in Saurashtra have been submerged in water. Six teams of NDRF have been deployed in the worst affected Gir Somnath district.
 
Meanwhile, IMD has issued a forecast of heavy to heavy rainfall in six districts including Junagadh, Rajkot, Porbandar, Bhavnagar, and Surat tomorrow.
