Heavy rains continue to lash several parts of Gujarat on fourth consecutive day. Several districts of Saurashtra especially Devbhoomi Dwarka, Jamnagar, Porbandar, Rajkot and Kutch district recorded very heavy rainfall during the last 24 hours.

Our correspondent reports that although the intensity of rains was reduced in flood affected regions of Central Gujarat especially Vadodara, a large number of areas are still under water and relief and rescue operation is underway. Devbhoomi Dwarka district recorded widespread heavy rainfall in the last 24 hours. Bhanwad in Devbhoomi Dwarka recorded the highest above 10 Inches of rainfall followed by Kalyanpur, Dwarka and Khambhaliya tehsils which received more than 8 inches of rainfall. Over 17 thousand people were evacuated from the flood affected region yesterday with over 5000 were relocated from Vadodara city alone.
