All three BJP candidates were elected unopposed to the Rajya Sabha from Gujarat today. The leaders include External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, who has won a second term in the upper house, former MLA Babubhai Desai, and Kesaridev Singh Jhala.
 
No voting will take place for the three seats of Gujarat as the opposition parties did not field any candidate. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and State BJP President CR Patil greeted the winning candidates.
