In Gujarat, at least nine people have died and more than 10 others injured in an accident that occurred on Sarkhej-Gandhinagar SG Highway in Ahmedabad yesterday night. The incident took place when a speedy car ran over the crowd that gathered to view the accident site after a car hit the dumper on SG Highway yesterday night.
 
According to Police, nine people were declared dead after being taken to the Sola Civil Hospital. The injured are under treatment at Civil Hospital in Asarva including the driver of the car.
 
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel today announced Rs four lakh compensation to the families of the deceased in the accident and Rs 50,000 to those injured.
