In Gujarat, at least six people died and more than six others were injured in a road accident on the Ahmedabad-Vadodara Expressway near Anand early this morning.

Akashvani’s correspondent reports that the accident took place after a truck collided with a stationary bus near Chikhora village on the Ahmedabad-Vadodara Expressway. The bus was parked at the roadside corner after one of its tyres burst. According to Anand Rural Police, five persons including the bus driver died on the spot while one person succumbed to injuries during treatment. The other injured are under treatment at a nearby hospital. The deceased are yet to be identified.
