The Gujarat government has decided to provide 10 hours of electricity to the farmers in Saurashtra and Kutch district to save groundnut and other standing crops.State Energy Minister Kanubhai Desai made this announcement at Gandhinagar today. The Minister said the decision of increasing the electricity supply from 8 hours to 10 hours has been taken in the interest of farmers to save the crops like paddy, cumin which need irrigation.   He said  that the additional supply will be provided for 10 days.
