Gowri-Ganesha festival is celebrated with devotion all over Karnataka. On the occasion of the festival, the houses are decorated with flowers, the idol of Gowri is installed in the mandapam, worship is offered and gifts are distributed among women. Ganesha temples are decorated with flowers and garlands. Special pooja rituals are performed in the temples from early morning. Above that Ganesha idols are installed in public places and houses and special worship is offered.
