Govt to work in direction of ensuring radio signal to reach border areas, says Union Minister Anurag Singh Thakur

Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Singh Thakur today stressed that the government will work in the direction of ensuring radio signal to reach border areas. He said, thousands of telecom towers will be installed in those areas for better 4G connectivity in a span of one year. The Minister said this while addressing around 330 sarpanches of Vibrant villages in the border areas, who attended the Independence Day celebration at the Red Fort as Special Guests.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Thakur highlighted the government's efforts to bring changes to the pre-existing concepts for the betterment of people. In this regard, he emphasized on various initiatives including Vibrant Village and Aspirational District where places considered as last are given top most priority with a focus on development.

At the event, Sarpanches of border villages from Arunachal Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Sikkim and Ladakh also conveyed their concerns and put their points across.
